The darkness of window tinting is measured by monitoring the visible light transmitted percentage (VLT%), which essentially means the percentage of visible light allowed in through the combination of the film and the window (NET).

Window tinting laws vary from state-to-state. Before applying any window tinting materials, you should thoroughly review the appropriate state regulations as well as local enforcement policies to ensure compliance with all the applicable standards.
